♥ Child Safety & CSAE Policy ♥
Australian Standard — Zero Tolerance
Policy
Effective: 30 May 2026 | Last
Updated: 30 May 2026 | Reviewed Annually
Oceania
Matrimony maintains an absolute zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse
and exploitation (CSAE) in any form, on any part of our platform, at any time.
The safety, dignity, and protection of
children is a non-negotiable foundation of our platform and our values. We
recognise that online platforms carry a special legal and moral responsibility
to actively prevent harm to children — and we take that responsibility with the
utmost seriousness.
This policy sets out our commitments, legal
obligations, enforcement measures, and reporting procedures under Australian
law. It applies to every user of the Oceania Matrimony platform — including all
registered members, trial users, visitors, and any person who interacts with
our services from any country in the world.

Oceania Matrimony is an adult matrimonial
platform, exclusively. No person under the age of 18 years is permitted to
register, create a profile, browse member profiles, or use any feature of the
Platform — under any circumstances.
•
'Child' or 'minor' means any
person under 18 years of age, regardless of the legal age of majority in their
country of residence.
•
All users must confirm they are
18 years of age or older via a mandatory age declaration checkbox at
registration. This checkbox cannot be bypassed.
•
Date of birth is validated at
the point of registration — the system will not permit registration if the entered
date of birth indicates the user is under 18.
•
We reserve the right to request
government-issued photo identification at any time to verify a member's age.
•
Any account found or reported
to belong to a person under 18 will be immediately and permanently suspended
without notice and without refund.
•
The discovery or credible
report of an underage account will be reported to the Australian Federal Police
(AFP) and the eSafety Commissioner.
|
Age Verification Process AGE VERIFICATION MEASURES IN PLACE: • Mandatory date of birth entry — validated
against the 18-year minimum • Mandatory age declaration checkbox —
registration cannot proceed without this • Manual review of every profile by our
moderation team before it goes live • Identity verification requested for any
account suspected of being underage • Immediate suspension and AFP/eSafety
reporting if underage use is confirmed • IP and device-level block on any suspended
underage account |
The following conduct is strictly prohibited
on Oceania Matrimony. Any violation will result in immediate permanent account
termination, full preservation of all related data, and mandatory reporting to
the Australian Federal Police and the eSafety Commissioner. There are no
exceptions, no warnings, and no second chances for CSAE conduct.
• Creating, uploading,
transmitting, distributing, or accessing any child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
— including images, video, audio, text, or any other media depicting or
describing the sexual abuse or exploitation of a person under 18.
• Grooming conduct — any
communication, contact, or behaviour directed at a minor (or a person the user
believes or suspects to be a minor) with any intent to facilitate sexual abuse,
exploitation, or physical contact.
• Soliciting sexual content,
images, or physical contact from any person who is, or who may be, under the
age of 18.
• Using the Platform to arrange,
facilitate, promote, or encourage any meeting, introduction, or activity involving
a minor for sexual, exploitative, or harmful purposes.
•
Sharing, forwarding,
distributing, or linking to any website, app, platform, or content that
contains, promotes, or facilitates CSAM.
•
Impersonating a minor, or
falsely representing oneself as being of legal age in order to deceive another
user.
•
Any content, communication, or
conduct that normalises, glorifies, encourages, or minimises the sexual abuse
or exploitation of children in any form whatsoever.
Every profile submitted to Oceania Matrimony
is manually reviewed by our moderation team before it is published on the
Platform. Our moderation process includes:
•
Confirming that the member's
stated date of birth meets the minimum age of 18.
•
Reviewing all profile
photographs for age-appropriateness and CSAM indicators.
•
Screening all profile bio and
description text for language indicating underage status or grooming intent.
•
Ongoing monitoring of messaging
activity for grooming patterns and suspicious behaviour.
•
Use of automated tools for
detection of known CSAM hash signatures on all uploaded media.
•
Cross-referencing against any
previously banned accounts or devices.
Under the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Cth) and
the Online Safety Act 2021 (Cth), Oceania Matrimony has mandatory obligations
to report certain conduct. Upon discovery of — or receipt of a credible report
of — CSAM or CSAE conduct on our Platform, we will take the following steps
immediately:
1.
Immediately remove the
offending content and permanently suspend the relevant account.
2.
Preserve all related account
data, message logs, IP addresses, device identifiers, upload metadata, and
digital evidence in accordance with Australian evidence preservation
obligations.
3.
Report to the Australian
Federal Police (AFP) within 24 hours of discovery or report: www.afp.gov.au
4.
Submit a report to the
Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE): www.accce.gov.au
5.
Report to the eSafety
Commissioner via the Online Safety Act 2021 (Cth) reporting portal:
www.esafety.gov.au/report
6.

for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline where applicable.
7.
Cooperate fully and without
reservation with all Australian Federal Police and state police investigations
— providing account data, IP logs, message records, and device information
pursuant to any lawful request or warrant.

NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS:
These reporting obligations exist independently of
user consent, member privacy preferences, and any other consideration.

our mandatory reporting obligations under Australian law in relation to
child safety matters.
